Pim Baxter, OBE

Pim is an accomplished senior leader with over 35 years executive and non-executive experience of strategic leadership in the arts, heritage and creative industries, combined with broad experience within education and the not-for-profit sector as a governor, fundraiser and leadership mentor. She was Deputy Director at the National Portrait Gallery until 2019 and led the fundraising for the £35.5m Inspiring People capital project.

Pim is a Lay Canon and member of Chapter at St Paul’s Cathedral and a Governor of St Paul’s Cathedral School. Other non-executive roles include Board membership of Strawberry Hill House and Garden, the Gallery’s Portrait Fund and recently she joined the Campaign Board of Historic Royal Palaces. Pim is a Kent Ambassador and Charity Mentor and Chair of her local counselling service. She has recently qualified as a Time to Think Coach and Facilitator.

Pim was awarded an OBE in the 2015 New Year’s Honours for services to the Arts. She was appointed to Central's Board in 2013.
