Undergraduate In Person Open Days and Online Q&A’s

Open Days for our undergraduate courses are designed to give potential applicants a taste of what full-time training looks like at Central School of Ballet, whilst also offering support and guidance with the application and audition process. These Open Days are specifically designed for applicants who are considering applying for the following academic year only and meet the age requirement (minimum aged 16 as of 1 September year of entry).

Please note, places are limited so early applications are encouraged. We may schedule additional open days if necessary.

Participant Testimonials

“It was invaluable to see a couple of classes on a normal day. I was blown away by the atmosphere between students (friendly, kind, collaborative) and watching the way the teacher interacted and coached the students has shown me that Central is the place I would like to be. I would probably never have got that exact impression otherwise and it has been so useful.”

“I wasn’t sure if I was going to apply to Central but after attending the Open Day and seeing the students in class, I was inspired to apply and audition.”

“I thought the staff were all lovely and I could see it is a wonderful, supportive community to be part of! it was great to see the students in action to get a proper feel for the level of training, and it made me even more excited to apply!”

“It was an amazing opportunity to see how classes were done and how students were learning and I’m excited for my audition. Getting the chance to chat to current students was really exciting.”

“The open day was a very good experience and made me want to go to the school even more. I also liked how honest the people were and how they talked about the different situations that people would be in.”

“I got a feel of what it may be like to be a full-time student at Central. It also gave me valuable insight to the kind of training that is given at Central.”

“The open day was very good and included everything that we needed in order to help us understand the various aspects that Central has to offer. Thank you for all your inclusive arrangements that you make. The ethos of the school is evident as a result of the hard work that is going into ensuring access for all.”

“I loved how we were able to have a Q&A with the students as well as the staff. I found it really comforting to know how they managed the change from school to full-time training, and living away from home.”

“It was great to gain an insight into Central School of Ballet, the curriculum, pastoral support and really beneficial to hear from the students and how they have settled into their first year.”

Online Open Days and Q&A’s

We recognise that some applicants will be unable to attend an open day in London. Whilst we are not able to offer exactly the same experience online, we are delighted to give applicants the opportunity to attend an Online Q&A session or to join one of our In-Person Open Days via Zoom.

These sessions will be geared towards supporting international applicants but all applicants are welcome to apply and attend.

The Online Q&A sessions may involve:

  • Meeting the Artistic Director
  • Hearing from our Director of Higher Education on the training offered at Central
  • Receiving guidance from the Registry and Admissions Manager regarding the application process, accommodation and Student Visa
  • The opportunity to meet and chat with current students

It is anticipated these sessions will last no longer than 45 minutes. Exact timings will be confirmed when you receive your confirmation of attendance.
