The range of courses for both boys and girls are designed to offer a diversity of dance disciplines to improve classical technique as well as explore new styles of dance in the setting of a vocational ballet school. A Sleeping Beauty themed repertoire day (female repertoire). Participants should wear their regular ballet uniform of leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. We recommend that participants are equipped with a pen and notebook during the course in order to make the most of their learning experience.
Course Outline
This course is part of Central’s popular series of One Day Ballet Intensives for girls and boys of different ages and abilities. The day aims to introduce dancers to the experience of training in a vocational Ballet school. Note that this course is specifically for dancers with a minimum of RAD Intermediate Foundation or equivalent in the 11-13 age range. The one day course usually includes classes in ballet and repertoire as well as an additional discipline such as jazz, Pilates, contemporary or improvisation, providing participants with the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the experience of training at Central, a world-class professional training organisation.

Central Moves workshops are for all young people aged 8-16. The course offers ballet and creative classes to develop creativity, fitness and confidence.

Course Outline
Central Moves is a dynamic, fun and energising day of dance for all abilities. The course is open to children and teenagers aged 8-16 years old. Classes in ballet and creative movement are taught in age-appropriate groups by our expert teachers. Whether it is your first introduction to dance, or an opportunity to explore your technique further and create your own dance, Central Moves is a great opportunity to get moving this half term! All classes are accompanied by live musicians, helping participants to explore their musicality and creativity.

Course Outline
Dance Days are designed to provide a series of sample or taster classes to support participants’ current dance training programme, and to inform about life for students on a professional training course and how to access full-time vocational training with Central School of Ballet. The one day events are held annually in locations around the UK for young dancers aged 13-16 years who are hoping to pursue full-time vocational training in a Higher Education setting.
Dance Days include classes in Ballet and Contemporary led by Central School of Ballet’s undergraduate tutors, designed to emulate Central’s audition process. The Ballet class includes pointe work for girls and coaching for boys.

Boys Dance Too will give dancers the opportunity to experience practical sessions in ballet, contemporary, street dance styles, improvisation and choreography. You will meet expert male teachers and hear more about dance training and careers. Participants will get to dance alongisde like-minded peers, whilst discovering possibilities in dance and the wider performing arts.
