Central School of Ballet is a world-leader in vocational dance training and a Registered Charity, number 285398. Central offers three degree courses across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Most students complete a BA (Hons) in Professional dance and Performance, comprising a two year Foundation Degree, followed by a one year BA (Hons) course. Central’s MA in Choreography is for dancers with an existing choreography portfolio. There is a flourishing and well-attended Junior School, an influential Associate Programme for aspiring professional dancers, and a thriving programme of dance with schools and local communities for many to share our passion for dance.
Central is renowned for creating accomplished, versatile professionals equipped with the skills and experience needed to launch careers at the forefront of the dance industry. Central graduates join leading companies (including Billy Elliot The Musical, Birmingham Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, New Adventures, Northern Ballet, Phantom of the Opera, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Rambert, and Scottish Ballet) and bring inspiration and enjoyment to audiences across the world.
