Central Exceeds Target in Big Give Christmas Challenge

£22,396 was raised to support Central School of Ballet’s strength and resilience programme in the annual fundraising campaign, the Big Give Christmas Challenge, exceeding the £20,000 target.

The funds raised will help Central to support its undergraduate students with an invaluable strength and resilience programme. This programme gives dance students access to an expert Health and Wellbeing Team including two physiotherapists, a recovery from injury specialist, and a Pilates instructor. The programme is delivered in Central’s fully equipped wellbeing suite, the Tabor Hub, located in The Countess of Wessex Studios in London’s Southwark.

Becoming a dance professional, well-prepared for the rigours and demands of a career in international dance companies and leading theatrical stage productions, requires technical skill, artistic development and also strength and resilience.  Central is best placed to provide this complex training and education delivered by experts on site.

Central values the generous support from donors during the Big Give campaign that helps to fund the comprehensive dance training that is essential for the future stars of dance.   Donors have a further opportunity to learn more about Central’s activities and productions by joining the Friends of Central.  Members can join for as little as £3.50 a month gaining exclusive behind-the-scenes access to watch rehearsals and regular updates and opportunities to meet the dancers as well as like-minded lovers of dance and culture.
