Applications for Central’s Undergraduate Degree Courses Are Now Open

Students aiming to start professional dance training next autumn are encouraged to apply to Central School of Ballet’s degree courses from Monday 3 October 2022. Unlike other higher education courses, aspiring dance students are required to audition alongside a written application.

Josh Yeardley, Central’s Senior School Manager who oversees the applications process, explains more: “Applicants wishing to be considered for our undergraduate courses, are required to audition and at Central we aim to make this as accessible as possible for both UK and International students. Anyone wishing to audition in person should visit our In-Person Auditions page, and anyone not able to attend an audition in person should visit our Video Auditions page. We hope this will answer any questions you may have about the application and audition process.

Josh continues: “New applicants should take the opportunity to engage with the school and experience Central’s training as much as they can, through our Open Day, available in-person and online, and through a number of Dance Days and workshops both in the UK and internationally. There are opportunities to meet and be taught by Central’s tutors, see our extensive facilities and meet current students. This is a really exciting time to apply for professional dance training at Central. Based in the centre of London, our students are fortunate enough to train in a diverse and multicultural location, whilst learning from world leading dance industry influencers and choreographers, during the Ballet Central tour in the Third Year and throughout their training. We look forward to receiving your application.”
