Our short courses are an excellent opportunity for children aged 4-18 years to experience a range of dance styles at varying levels.

The One Day Ballet Course for 4-7 years will focus on the classic ballet and fairy-tale, Sleeping Beauty. The workshop will enable participants to learn about the foundations of ballet through an entertaining and educational class taught online by a member of Central School of Ballet’s Junior School teaching faculty.

The One Day Ballet Intensives for 8-10 and 11-13 years will include classes in ballet and repertoire as well as an additional discipline such as jazz, contemporary, preparation for pointe (11-13 years only) or a stretch class, affording participants the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the experience of training at Central School of Ballet.

Central School of Ballet Degree Course Ballet Tutors, Resmi Malko and Linda Moran will teach the One Day Ballet Intensive for 14-16 years. The course will include classes in ballet, including pointe work for girls and allegro for boys, two focussed sessions on port de bras and musicality and a contemporary class led by Central School of Ballet Degree Course Contemporary Tutors. Participants will also have an opportunity to speak with current undergraduate students about training full-time at Central.

Central is also pleased to offer an online Dance Around the World workshop for young people of all abilities aged 8-18. The course will boast an exciting diversity of dance styles and allow participants to learn about styles of dance from different cultures across the globe, including American jazz, South-Asian dance and Irish dance in addition to ballet.
