One Day Ballet Intensive for Girls (8-10 years)

This intensive Ballet course offers participants the opportunity to improve classical technique in the setting of a full-time vocational Ballet school.

Participants should wear their regular ballet uniform of leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Convertible tights can be worn for ease of transition between classes

Course Outline
This course is part of Central’s popular series of One Day Ballet Intensives for girls and boys of different ages and abilities. The day aims to introduce dancers to the experience of training in a vocational Ballet school taught by teachers from Central’s Degree faculty. Note that this course is specifically for girls at RAD Grade 2 or equivalent in the 8-11 age range. The one day course includes Repertoire and, dependent on age and ability, Pointe work for girls. An additional class is included in the course, in either Pilates, Contemporary or Improvisation.
Dance Blast (8-16 years)

Dance Blast courses are usually a one-day event designed to offer participants the opportunity to learn and take part in an exciting range of dance styles. Dance Blast courses typically include classes in Ballet, African Contemporary, Street/Jazz and Capoeira.

Central’s One Day Musical Theatre Course provides participants with the opportunity to learn songs and choreography from a well-known musical.

Course Outline
Central’s One Day Musical Theatre Course provides participants with the opportunity to learn songs and choreography from a well-known musical. Parents are invited into the studio at the end of the day to watch a performance of songs and choreography the students have learned during the course.
Boys Move (8-17)

Boys Move is Central’s annual, one day event for boys ages 8-17 years old, open to a range of ability levels, from beginners to more experienced dancers and includes classes in a wide range of dance styles and disciplines.
