Lindsay Jenkins

Before joining Central as the Learning Development Manager, Lindsay gained over 14 years’ experience as a freelance researcher, project manager, lecturer and dance practitioner with experience facilitating and supporting arts programmes in education and community contexts. Lindsay has also worked closely with People Dancing in various roles since 2010, most recently as their Digital Programme Manager.

In 2016, Lindsay completed a Master’s degree in Dance Science and has developed a research portfolio centring around psychological wellbeing and participatory dance. Recent projects have included the arts and health project 'Hear and Now', led in partnership with London's Philharmonia Orchestra, and the One Dance UK-commissioned 'Role and Impact of Freelancers in the UK Dance Sector' study.

Lindsay has lectured at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a range of subjects, which have most recently included contemporary dance technique, arts project management, dance psychology, safe dance practice, and wellbeing for performing artists.
