Central’s Winter Showcase Performance Announced – Tickets Available Now

An exciting range of dance pieces and new repertoire will be performed in Central’s Winter Showcase next month.  Four performances in Central’s Studio Theatre on 7 and 8 December, one at 5.30pm and the second at 7.30pm each day, gives audiences a chance to see the skills and talent that Central is renowned for showcased in famous dance and ballet pieces, many with a seasonal flavour.

Each performance will include the ensemble Aurora’s Friends from Sleeping Beauty, and excerpts from Flames of Paris and Swan Lake, and Dance of the Mirlitons from The Kingdom of the Sweets in the famous seasonal ballet The Nutcracker.

There’s new work created by students inspired by the celebrated contemporary choreographer Jirí Kylián and an excerpt from Dextera by Scottish Ballet’s Artist-in-Residence and graduate from Central’s MA Choreography degree course, Sophie Laplane.

This year’s Winter Showcase performances are being held in support of the Big Give Christmas Challenge. We ask that audience members make a suggested donation of £5 – £10 per ticket to Central through the Big Give between midday 29 November and midday 6 December. Donations made to Central’s Big Give campaign during this period will be doubled with twice the impact for our students. Details of how to make your donation will be sent to the email provided on the booking form when the Big Give opens.

Please contact tickets@csbschool.co.uk with your preferred performance date and number of tickets needed to join our waiting list if the performance you would like to attend is at capacity.
