Applications Remain Open for New Cohort of Central Associate Dancers

23 February 2024

Central School of Ballet’s applications are open for the 24/25 cohort of Associate and Junior Associate Programme dancers. The two programmes offer young dancers additional training taught by Central’s highly experienced tutors to support after school ballet classes.

For younger dancers, aged 8 – 10, the Junior Associate Programme offers six Saturday sessions a year in the October, February, and May half term. These intensive training days feature three classes designed to enhance a dancers’ strength and technique. Ballet class with Kate Webster focuses on refining classical technique and developing musicality and coordination, and is complimented by sessions in Body Conditioning and Creative Movement. The Junior Associate Programme is split into two levels, Junior Associates 1 and Junior Associates 2, depending on age and ability.

For older dancers, the Associate Programme provides the opportunity to attend Central’s studios every Saturday during term time for a full day of pre professional training with our expert team. The programme varies depending on level with Associates welcome from ages 11 – 16. Ballet is at the core of Associate Programme training, with classes in pointe, repertoire, and pas de deux, and in addition this is supplemented by training in Contemporary and Pilates.

Entry to both programmes is through audition with places being offered for one year of training at Central. Dancers thinking of applying for the programmes can find out more and submit their application form on Central’s website.
