Applications Open for Central’s Spring and Summer Courses

14 November 2023

Central School of Ballet’s Spring and Summer courses will be returning in 2024, offering young dancers the opportunity to train with inspiring ballet tutors from Central’s undergraduate courses. These short courses offer students, aged 11-16 years, the chance to experience a taste of full-time professional training in a vocational ballet school.

Designed for aspiring dancers, these courses provide daily ballet classes, with pointe work and coaching, alongside various other dance styles and related disciplines, which could include Contemporary, Repertoire, Pilates, Jazz, Character and Creative Choreography as additional training areas.

The Spring and Summer courses are a wonderful opportunity to learn from ballet tutors who have danced and trained professionally with leading dance organisations in the UK and internationally. Confirmed tutors for the Spring Course include Adela Ramirez, former First Soloist with English National Ballet, and Christopher Hinton-Lewis, former Principal Dancer at Northern Ballet and previous guest teacher with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Wayne McGregor Random Dance.

The International Summer Course will also feature exceptional ballet tutors including; Jann Esterhuizen, former dancer with Cape Town City Ballet and South African Ballet Theatre, and Resmi Malko, who has an extensive performance list internationally, as well as being a highly successful ballet coach and careers advisor. The two-week Summer Course also offers international students the chance to take optional additional English language classes, for those who are learning English as a second language.

With applications now open, you can secure your place on the Spring or Summer courses in 2024. For full dates and information, please visit Central’s Ballet Intensives page.
