Anna graduated from Brunel University as a physiotherapist (BSc. Hons) in 1999. She went on to fulfil the junior rotations at St Mary's Hospital, Imperial NHS Trust. Anna was then invited to work overseas in China working with paediatrics with physical disabilities. On her return to the UK, she specialised in sports injuries gaining experience of treating professional footballers, tennis players and cricketers. To formalise this experience Anna undertook a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine graduating from University College London in 2008. During this period Anna studied professional ballet dancers and carried out extensive research and a detailed thesis looking at second metatarsal stress fractures.
After graduating Anna has freelanced at Royal Ballet School (Upper), English National Ballet Company, English National Ballet School, Royal Society of Medicine, and dance related shows at the BBC. Anna joined Central School of Ballet in 2008 and has continued her research interests focusing on bone health, injury profiling and cardiovascular fitness in dancers.
