Central School Of Ballet

Supporting Ballet Central

By supporting our critically-acclaimed touring company, Ballet Central, you can give Central’s final year students a unique touring experience. Ballet Central is the perfect springboard from which to launch their professional careers. As a result, Central graduates are recognised for their versatility, professionalism and maturity.

“A graduate from Central School of Ballet is a valuable asset in any company for they have already experienced life as a professional dancer by touring with Ballet Central.”

Sir Matthew Bourne OBE, Artistic Director, New Adventures.

Launched in 1984, Ballet Central helps make dance accessible by bringing the very best of the art-form to a town near you. Our diverse repertoire appeals to first-time audiences and makes us a firm favourite amongst dance enthusiasts. It is very rare for international choreographers to give their work to graduate companies, yet they give pieces to Ballet Central each year. Our students gain key skills from working with renowned choreographers, fuelling their passion, and say it is a highlight of their final year.

Ballet Central has impressed on international stages and in prestigious venues, including the Newbury Spring Festival, the London 2012 Olympic Games and The British Embassy in Paris. This year’s five-month tour is our biggest and boldest yet, with a breath-taking 25 performances stretching from Exeter to Leeds.

"...Commitment and understanding on display in abundance" (Matthew Bourne's Highland Fling) Dance Europe 2017 “The scene packs a punch and showed how impressively these young dancers could take on roles usually entrusted to more experienced performers.”
