Overseas Auditions & Applications

Central welcomes applicants from around the world and recent students have come from Spain, Singapore, Japan,U SA, South Africa, Australia, France, Italy and Turkey to study here.

Students from the UK and the EU are expected to attend auditions in the UK. Outside of the UK, Central holds auditions in Japan and New York City, USA.

Audition in USA

Central will hold auditions and workshops on Sunday 3 March 2019 in New York City, USA, following great success earlier this year.

Auditions will be for entry onto Central's Foundation degree programme in Professional Dance and Performance for entry in September 2019.


The day will include workshops led by Central's tutors, including Ballet Central's Artistic Director, Christopher Marney, former principal dancer with Matthew Bourne's New Adventures.

Suitable participants for the workshops should ideally be at Level 3B under ABT National Training Curriculum and/or Advanced 1 under Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus

Audition in Japan

Central's move to the South Bank

Central is planning an exciting move to bespoke new premises at Paris Gardens in London’s flourishing arts community on the South Bank in SE1.

Aiming for completion in the 2019/20 academic year, the new building will become a hub for a dynamic dance community. It will combine excellence in dance training for those aiming for a professional career with accessible dance classes for all and community engagement projects.
