Rediscovering Cinderella...25 years on

Calendar Posted 3 April 2018

To honour Central's founder Christopher Gable and to mark 25 years since the premiere of Cinderella, Ballet Central's Artistic Director Christopher Marney has undertaken a significant research project to rediscover the ballet and reconstruct the work into a 30-minute-long, one-act piece. This work features in the Ballet Central 2018 tour.

In collaboration with Central's Musical Director Philip Feeney who composed the original score, the company worked alongside Charlotte Talbot, part of the original cast and now one of Central's governors.

Guided by Carole Gable, the new piece is a celebration of the original and a fresh take for today's audiences.

This project was made possible with the assistance of the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama and the committed work of Kylie Radford and Iryna Pyzniuk.

You can see Cinderella as part of the Ballet Central tour, at venues in towns and cities across the UK! Head to Ballet Central's website for tour dates and tickets!
