Central students work with professional dancers from top ballet companies

Calendar Posted 27 June 2019

This week Central students from all three year groups of the degree programme have been working in the studio with professional dancers from top ballet companies including Phoenix Dance Theatre and Birmingham Royal Ballet.

On Wednesday, dancers from Phoenix Dance Theatre came in to lead a contemporary class and repertoire workshops with Central’s second and third year students. The dancers leading the sessions were Artists Michael Marquez, Carlos Martinez, Natalie Alleston and Central alumnus Carmen Vazquez Marfil.

On Thursday Central welcomed Birmingham Royal Ballet First Soloist Brandon Lawrence into the studio to lead male ballet class with students from all three years and a repertoire class centred on 'La fille mal gardée'.

Central is passionate about maintaining links with professional ballet companies and working alongside them to develop and inspire our students.
