Central students to perform in new collaboration with Royal College of Music

Calendar Posted 25 April 2019

On Friday 26 April, all first year Central students will perform in a new collaborative work with students from the Royal College of Music (RCM) at the Britten Theatre.

The performance entitled Non-Place is part of a series called the Great Exhibitionists, which is a forum for RCM students to showcase new and innovative ideas.

RCM students Connor De Netto and Matthew Lomax, both studying towards an MA degree in Composition chose to collaborate on Non-Place and work with staff and students from Central to realise the final performance.

With the music composed by Connor and Matthew and choreography by Leanne King, Bim Malcomson and the students themselves, Non-Place is “an immersive night of contemporary dance fusing music, movement, visuals and technology, examining our relationships to familiar spaces, identity and anonymity in modern society.”

The performance will take place on Friday 26 April at 7.00pm at the Britten Theatre, RCM.
