Central alumnus shortlisted for National Dance Awards

Central School of Ballet is pleased to share that alumnus Mthuthuzeli November has recently been shortlisted for the ‘Emerging Artist Award’ at the National Dance Awards.

Mthuthuzeli November joined Central in 2015 from the Cape Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA) to perform with our touring company Ballet Central. Upon leaving Central, he joined Ballet Black as an Apprentice Artist from September 2015 where he has continued to grow and thrive as an artist and choreographer.

The National Dance Awards are organised by the Dance Section of the Critics’ Circle as an annual event to celebrate the excellence and variety of Britain’s dance industry. The awards are decided by the Dance Section of the Critics’ Circle, which consists of over 60 dance writers and critics.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 19th February 2020.
