Central School Of Ballet

School Projects

As part of our commitment to the wider community, Central works in partnership with London primary and secondary schools to deliver a yearly series of workshops for school children.

Bringing dance into schools

Our primary school workshops are led by experienced dance education practitioners, assisted by students from the school to give all children the opportunity to explore their creativity through dance. As part of the project the pupils are invited to present their work and attend Central's end-of-year matinee performance.

In secondary schools Central workshops use contemporary dance as an accessible way to promote fitness and creativity amongst students. As with primary schools these workshops are led by experienced dance education practitioners, assisted by students from the school. Following the project, schools are invited to attend our end-of-year matinee performance.

All schools are provided with a resource pack, so they can use the workshop themes across the curriculum.
