Course Outline

RAD classes

Central offers RAD Major Examination Syllabi classes to Senior School students, Associate School students and students from external private ballet schools. All classes take place on a Saturday.

Students regularly achieve outstanding results and have taken part in the International Genée competition.

Each level costs £110 per term.

Teaching staff

The classes are taught by Hilary Clark, Judy Maden and Frank Freeman.

Hilary Clark - Ladies RAD Major Examinations

Hilary was a dancer with Scottish Ballet. She completed the Professional Dancer's Teaching Course at the Royal Academy of Dance in 1985 and is a faculty member and tutor of the Royal Academy of Dance, teaching student and teacher courses throughout the world.

Frank Freeman – Men’s RAD Major Examinations

Frank is an international freelance teacher, choreographer and Major Examiner for the Royal Academy of Dancing. He has been involved in the training of the Royal Academy's Surrey Region and in 1994 the Royal Academy of Dance invited him to be a member of the panel to create The Foundations of Classical Ballet Technique. He recently co-created the RAD Male Advanced Syllabus and in April 2000 the Royal Academy awarded him a Fellowship.
