Join the family - be our Friend and enjoy behind the scenes events at Central School of Ballet. See our dancers perform and learn more about this leading ballet school.

Your support makes a difference to all our young dancers, enabling us to give them the best possible training and exciting performance opportunities. Our Friends help us provide our students with facilities to train in, and support us as we care for the health and well-being of these young dancers through physiotherapy, pilates, nutritional advice and emotional support.

HOW DO I BECOME A FRIEND?

Choose the category that is right for you and join online now. Alternatively send a cheque (made out to 'Central School of Ballet') to:

Alumnus Friend (for Central School of Ballet Alumni only, £24 annually)

Benefits include:

  • Alumni Friends Open Class (the chance to come in and watch a third year class at Central).
  • Opportunity to purchase tickets to special Friends events at Central School of Ballet.
  • Advance notice of the Ballet Central tour dates.

Friend (£40 annually)

Benefits include:

  • @Central - Central Friends Newsletter sent to you in the post twice a year.
  • Opportunity to purchase tickets to special Friends events at Central School of Ballet.
  • Opportunity to purchase tickets to other events at Central at a special reduced rate for Friends (events may include masterclasses or 'in conversation' events with key figures from the performing arts industry).
  • Advance notice of the Ballet Central tour dates.

Soloist Friend (£150 annually or £12.50 monthly)

Benefits include all the benefits of the 'Friend' category plus:

  • Opportunity to purchase tickets to Centra's annual Soloist and Principal Friends' Open Morning where you will watch a company class with our final year students and have the chance to meet them and their teacher.

Principal Friend (£1,000 annually or £83.33 monthly)

Benefits include all the benefits of the 'Soloist Friend' category plus:

  • All those who become a Friend at this level can expect a tailored relationship with the school, to suit them. In addition to all Friend and Soloist Friend benefits, if you are a Principal Friend, you are welcome to visit the school to watch a class. You will have the chance to meet students and staff from Central School of Ballet at the official Principal Friends Reception during the interval of one of the performances in School Show Week (Principal Friends will be given advance notice of this).
  • Your support will be acknowledged in print and on our website, unless you wish to remain anonymous. A copy of the Ballet Central programme will be sent to you in the post as soon as it is printed.

How long will my membership last?

Your membership will last for one year. At the end of that year you will be reminded that your membership is due for renewal.

Can I pay by standing order?

Yes! If you would like to set up a standing order to pay your membership fee every year please email friends@csbschool.co.uk and we will provide you with details of how to do this.

How will I hear about events?

The Development team at Central School of Ballet will send you updates via post or email about Friends events that are coming up, with details of how to book tickets. However you are always welcome to telephone and ask to speak to a member of the Development team to check when the next event is taking place.

What is your registered charity number?

Our registered charity number is 285398.
